I'm using google Chrome. When I do a search by typing xyz in the address bar it is no longer coming up with google results.

It's coming up with 'uk.search-results'

The other day it was coming up with 'imesh' (haven't got a clue where that come from) and some 'media' results.

I have unistalled imesh and the media thing but it's still not doing a google search.

Any ideas?

Even though I've uninstalled imesh when I do a search...press enter...it still says 'search imesh.com' and then comes up'uk.search-results'
It's sort of Adware .. or Spyware ..
You can remove with this tool .. or manually here!

Cheers Albags...but...they want $79 to do it for me and I can't figure out how to do it manually :-( x
Does this help?
In Google Chrome, the address bar that sits at the top of the browser window (sometimes called the "omnibox") doubles as a search box. You can specify the search engine that the address bar should use by default for your searches.

Set your default search engine
1.Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar. Mac users: If you don't see the wrench icon, go to the menu bar at the top of your screen and click Chrome.
2.Select Options (Preferences on a Mac; Settings on Chrome OS).
3.Click the Basics tab and find the "Default search" section.
4.Select the search engine you want to use from the menu in that section. If the search engine you want to use doesn't appear in the menu, click Manage to open the Search Engines dialog. Select the search engine that you'd like to use, then click Make Default. If your search engine doesn't appear in this list either, you can add a new search engine option.
5.Click Close when you're done.

Thank you cancross. That worked :-)

Now...just to get rid of imesh. Is it dangerous do you know?
Not dangerous, ummmm, just a P2P search tool, but oviously annoying to you. Can you go to the Control Panel, open Add/Remove Programs. Uninstall imesh from that list of software that comes up.

I've already done that. And un-installed some related media thingy. When I followed the instruction on Albags link it said there was 80+ relating to imesh. I did I search for what it listed but nothing came up...
This website goes into more detail here with various strategies to try:

This seems quite comprehensive in what it's asking you to remove ...

To do a manual un-install it's telling me to go to task manager. There's nothing running in task manager to do with imesh. There's nothing in the control panel either but if I do a search for it I get 5 results.
Do delete them, but not in task manager. That will stop the processes only. Try right clicking the files and selecting delete - or use the command prompt techniques that the posts refer to, mine sends you here:

Thanks cancross. I think I've done it. I've just done a search for imesh and it only comes up in 'history' so I'm hoping if I clear my history then it'll be gone...
Perfect! It's greatr when things work out. Cheers!
Hope you get things sorted, but if any of those help refuse to work here's another - http://tinyurl.com/65osf5t

Cheers Society...

I want to know who downloaded it in the first place..!!
Could only be someone who uses the computer :-)

Or perhaps it came as an attachment of another program you've installed. I vaguely remember once while installing something (don't remember what) I was given the option to install this or not.
