i can't believe 25 years has passed. i can remember finding out and watching it on telly, and can remember where i was / what i was doing.

i suppose for me (my generation?) this is a 'what were you doing when jfk got shot' moment.

no chat, just reminiscing.

My where were you moment is England winning the World Cup in 1966. I was only 9 and not into football yet so was playing with friends in the local park, although one of them did have it on their radio.
Jan - just an itch in my dads pants in 1966!
I hope England lift it again in my lifetime!
Vibra - a pirate VHS, they were unwatchable wern't they?
I'm sure I watched it live, but possibly just a memory block, I had just found out I was pregnant, seems to have flown
I can remember it too but who would have thought I would be watching shuttles taking off live from nasa tv and seeing the Spacestation 25 years on. Wonder what will be going round in 25 years.
A 50 year old spacestation!
No JD I didnt mean 50 year SS I meant watching SS go over uk 25 years on Sorry I worded it wrong.
Yes, jd, you are right pirate videos were, and still are, unwatchable, and I am old enough to remember them. Am I right in thinking you were born in 1984, and if so that makes me a lot older than you then? Any other young "Spring Chickens" here on AB?
Yeah, 27. I think a few on here are younger than me or similar age.
