I haqve managed to finish the Crediton Rotary quiz except for one of the maths
equations which is totally escaping me, it is

7 8 7 4 4 2 = 888. Any help in solving this would be much appreciated.

Thank you square bear, I am glad it is not just me, best of luck
I don't know what the rules are. Do the digits have to be in exactly the same order as presented? If not, then 874 + 7x4/2 = 888. Also, are you allowed to combine digits to form larger numbers like that?
Yep looks like you got it Mike
Surely the numbers have to be in that order?
Then my apologies for jumping the gun if that's the case

Has anybody managed the solution to this, or is there one?
Do the numbers have to be in that order or not?
Question Author
The answer has to be in the sequence of numbers as they are.
