I was in the middle of keying in an e-mail on TalkTalk Webmail when my mouse "froze"

In effect I was unable to continue typing in the message that I wished to send.

I can receive emails into my Webmail but for some reason my mouse does not appear to work in Webmail

However everything works fine if I use my Thunderbird email account & I have not had any problems in keying in this question.

Any ideas please?

You may have too much stuff running.
Check your processes that are running in Task Manager, and reduce accordingly.
You can open and tell some individual programmes not to run on startup .. or use the MSConfig Startup tab to uncheck auto run programmes that YOU KNOW are not needed.

You should also have a good clean out. It's quite possible the mouse is suffering thro lack of Windows resources.
If it's a wireless mouse, check position of base unit relative to the mouse, change channel if you can to test, and check batteries if used.
