When will my dividend come out?

I have got a few shares in an American company called Tyco International. I have had them since last December or January I think. I did a search about dividends from the company and found that they have been released quarterly throughout 2010. However I have never received any dividend or even a letter about a dividend. I was just wondering is there a problem or are quarterly dividends saved up and then just paid out once a year? If this is the case when should I expect to receive it or is there perhaps an issue that needs to be resolved?

Thanks count. Does that mean $1 per share plus chf 0.90 do you know. I'm confused about that but it looks like whatever it is is due Feb. Thanks again.
Sorry, flob no idea. Just found the link for you ;-)
What arrangement do you have with your broker regarding how dividends are to be handled? What do your brokerage statements say? Perhaps the dividends are being held in a cash account with your broker.

Tyco is a Swiss company, by the way.

BNY Mellon is the broker I think. I'm not too sure of the workings of it as I only got the shares last year. I suppose I need to look into the whole situation to make sure I'm not losing out somewhere along the line.
How are the shares held? Registered in your name or in the name of your brokers or banks nominee company?

The press release is a bit confusing, but you will due the US$ equivalent of Swiss Francs 0.90 per share at 23rd. February.

It appears that dividends are paid quarterly, therefore depending on when you purchased your shares last year, you are entitled to previously declared dividends.

You need to get in touch with your broker to claim the missing payments.

I think I'll wait to see what happens in February and then take it from there.
