This is getting hard to watch, it's so stupid.
I know, I know, I can switch off but they often have decent story lines but this John Stape thing is so far fetched.

I just wonder if this is a north/south divide.
I too hate EE but love Corrie
Largely overshadowed by the hapless Stape, was the equally funny scene at the Barlows'. I can't remember the exact dialogue but it went something like this;

Ciaran (misunderstanding what transpired during Leanne and Peter's holiday):
"Can we expect to hear the patter of tiny feet soon?"
Peter: "Give over, mate, I can hardly get my socks off!"
Ciaran: " Keep 'em on all the time, mate, that's my advice"
Leanne: "Yeah, that does it for me every time!"
Deidre: "Shut up, you'll be turning into Ken!"
Ken (looks up from his book in total bewilderment): "What?"

To return to Stape, I suspect that when Joy's body is found an appeal will be put out to find her son. This will lead to Stape's last school, which in turn will lead straight back to his own front door.
I LOVE Corrie but I do think that the writers backed themselves into a corner with the John Stape story. I'll be glad when it's over. I wonder how Rula Lenska will be as the new landlady of the Rovers? If Steve owns the pub why isn't he the land-lord? Is it something to do with his past? I can't remember.
I don't think it's anything to do with his past. The owner of the premises does not have to be the licensee. I think it was just a present to his mother. She gets a wage, he gets the profits.
I think Steve couldn't be the licensee because of his prison record.
Ric.ror I was born in London and lived there for the first part of my life. Now live in East Anglia. Can't stand Eastenders yet love Corrie! ;o)
ric.ror I'm in the south and can't stand Ee either. Love Corrie and agree about the humour but struggle to be amused by any of the Stape storyline tbh. I think Emmerdale can be very funny at times too.

I don't understand why EE gets all the awards either. I'm still upset that Danny Miller lost out last year when his acting (Aaron in Emmerdale) was absolutely fantastic.
NOOOOOO!!! Horseshoes, please tell me you're joking, Rula Lenska boss of the Rovers? She turns my stomach every time I see her! I can just about put up with her as an occasional bit part character but a regular?
Seriously, she could stop me from watching Corra completely. Hope you're listening Street bosses.
