Having reported 2 cars untaxed and unsorn i have found that 1 car is owned by a police officer,
Are they exempt from the same rules as the rest of us as one of the cars has been dumped there for 8 years now ?

Bits'll be dropping off as you're pushing it onto the highway - probably only the rust that's holding it together!

EDDIE Go here http://www.driveall.c...loads/dvla/ins107.pdf and you’ll see a DVLA leaflet about SORN and it says

“A SORN applies to all vehicles taxed on or after 31 January 1998, including those vehicles which tax does not have to be paid for (for example, vehicles in the historic or disabled tax class).”

Mark as Best AnswerReport This(23:09 on Fri 23/Jul/10) I have just Googled it and SORN only applies to cars put off the road before August 2004 so the Range Rover that has been there 8 years is fully legal. If you move or touch it you will be commiting an offence. This is why the 23 cars up the road from me can not be touched and is also how motor museums can operate legally without declaring SORN on the exhibits.
I'm not clear as to the relevance of the boat. I think you should report to the council about the family living in a garage
Question Author
Well the cars have been removed by the council but the family are still sleeping in the garage which apparently is legal.
