Dont be too sute folks -we didnt have a warning.....
Wolf -it was pretty quick wasnt it-byt the time I left Morrisons when it was sleety and got on the Luncarty/Stanley road it was inches deep and my car was waltzing like flump -scary stuff:(
I am not far from Morrisons and should know the answer - but I haven't looked out the window all day. It would mean me having to walk about 12 feet across the room.

It is mighty cold though - my lady cat is long haired and I was thinking of making a fur cap out of her coat. She might be very pleased though.
I hate setting the pace too. There is always somebody in a 4x4 who knows they can go faster, or some kid in a Vauxhall Corsa looking to get passed!!
My Mother in Law lived in Stanley.....A really weird place to be. We stayed at the local Inn one year and the landlord told us a true story about a alcoholic that lived in the next village. He went to the doctors and said " Doctor, I think I have a problem" the Doctor said "what's that" the alcoholic said " I think I have a drink problem" the Doctor said " Move to Stanley, no-one will notice" and I swear no one would

Sorry folks but hope you get my gist :)
Hi Dris...I love Dunkeld and can't wait to move up that way...But I know what you mean about the road. My old man is mad he took me over the top road to Amulree one year the snow was so bad and the drop was so steep...even the deer were on the run!
Oh dris, so awful for you! I know how scary it can be when the snow comes from nowhere!........Credit to you girl!.........
Dris is Scottish and we are a tough race of people. How many hundreds of years ago did the English try to invade us? Have we forgiven or forgotten - nah!

I have just staggered over to the window - if it did snow here it has gone. It was horrendous and having water problems during the minus 15 period was pure dead annoying.
Quite what is it you feel aggrieved about Dris? I don't know how old you are but I was only born in 1962. I'm English but I can assure you that neither I, nor anyone I know, has ever attempted to invade Scotland! In fact, I can't think of anyone in England or the UK who has tried to invade Scotland. If you are bothered about what my great-great-great-great-great-great grandfathers did to your great-great-great-great-great grandfathers - well!

We are both British Dris (if you won't have that then look at your passport - you're British!) Look around you! We Brits need to stick together more than ever today.
Look at what the Romans did - they conquered most of Europe ( and beyond), until they reached Scotland and thought,
Nah ! Let's just build a wall and leave those buggers alone !
Andy - Dris didn't mention the rivalry between Scotland and England, it was me. I don't know what it is that has ingrained this friendly rivalry into the genes of many of us Scots. Perhaps I should have put a smiley face on my last post.

My brother lives in Nottingham and is married to a lovely English lady and has three lovely children - and I love all of them.

Just don't make me give up my Englander-bashing! ;-) ☺ ☹
