Is a blue rinse a common hairstyle for men in England? Apart from Quentin Crisp and this chap in the news in Bath I don't think I've ever seen anyone on the television with one.

I don't know about men, they would have to be pretty brave to face the world with a blue rinse, but I know older women with white hair used to do this to make their hair look even whiter (I think).
You don't often see it on elderly ladies these days either!
boxy, that's because elderly ladies these days have highlights or hair extensions and wear what their daughters wear ;)
Too right, and some of us getting that way still have our original hair colour !
boxy, i've got that much white/silver in my hair now it looks like i've bleached it. i actually quite like it too..
