My so called friend lost her bank card and apparently 15 mins after she left me money was withdrawn and she has accused me.

She said the police are involved and I'm petrified. I live with my parents and do not want police at my door.

I dont know what to do can anyone help

is there any way I can find out if she has gone to the police and contact them myself?

ha ha murray she needs one. And Jackthehat I spoke to my ex who also knows her as we are still very close

But he obviously hasn't been able to reassure you 'quite enough' and you are still worried about her turning up on your parents doorstep. I'd have told mine so that 'they' could send her away with a flea in her ear should she turn up, or so that they wouldn't feel the great wave of distress an unexpected Police Officer at your front door can cause.....

Hi all,
Still not heard anything from anyone but still really worried. If she did go to the police and accuse me what would they do and how long would it take to get in contact?
RELAX WOMAN .... IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have already had that answered.

They would have contacted you by now.

Sorry to be the biggest pain in the arse guys it's just so upsetting that a so called friend cam do this, oh well we learn from our mistakes won't trust someone so easily next time
I agree with all the reassurances you have been given, and also that in all probability this "friendf" was being deliberately nasty. For what it is worth, I long ago came to the conclusion that well in excess of 95% of the human race are fundamentally decent people. Not all of them take the care not to inadvertently cause discomfort or whatever (i.e. many are careless or indefferent), it's true, but it is very unfair on the great majority to as a rule mistrust everyone (have "prove you are not a a'ole" as an opening test for everyone to pass). Moreover, that does awful things to your mind and you will definitely come over as someone dislikeable (people usually are at least instinctively quite perceptive). Be open, be friendly, but don't let false prophets/friends take advantage of you and hijack your feelings. Have the confidence of your knowledge of the truth about yourself.
....that should of course be "an a'ole".....
Are we still banging on about this. Don't you know a wind-up when you see one?
Question Author
Starbuckone - I can assure you this is no wind up. This is truly happening In my life
Wind-up or not, the issues may matter to any of the "passive" readers. AB is a free speech forum which people contribute to of their own choice. No doubt there are wind-ups from time to time and some will see every thread as potentially one while others assume they are not. To each his own.
O.K.
Hi, I've just seen your "could I be pregnant" and seeing your name reminded of your "wrongly accused" thread. I was wondering whether things had been sorted out now and your mind had been put at rest
