I have drumlin for 8 across yet I have a y for the second letter from the last poem word sky? Where have I slipped?

8a Drumlin - enter at 15a per the preamble.
Has Kayakamina helped? Drumlin is the right answer to the first part of clue 11A, and as per the preamble goes in Grid A. You seem to know the poem, the first line of which goes round the perimeter of Grid A. The last word, as you say is "sky". DRUMLIN starts from the last letter of the word which comes before SKY. I do not understand what you mean about the second letter from the last poem word. This should be K, giving you the start of the "Japanese weapon..." answer.
