// Labour has called on Mr Cable to step aside immediately from any decision to do with BskyB. Shadow Business Secretary John Denham told the BBC it was "difficult" to see how Mr Cameron and Mr Clegg can continue to have confidence in him.

A spokesman for News Corporation said: "News Corporation are shocked and dismayed by reports of Mr Cable's comments. They raise serious questions about fairness and due process."

Is this a sacking/resigning matter?
Why did the Telegraph omit these statements from their "Full Transcript'?
If he stays, will Murdoch's Power bring him down eventually?

I cant see how he, Vince Cable can stay............he has prejudged the reports of two Independent bodies on the buying of the remaining shares in Bsky B by Rupert Murdoch.

He MIGHT but is it fair?
Apparently this information was passed to Robert Peeston by a whistle blower and he's published it.

Should Mr Peston be brushing up hiw Swedish do you think?
What a pillock old Vince is, eh? However, it's just been announced on the news that he's not going to resign. Right-o, just pretend nothing happened, eh? Shades of the last government, or what???

Are there no depths to which these MPs wouldn't sink? Methinks not!
Murdoch...hes just an amateur...Robert Maxwell...he was the master....Oh,I forgot..Murdoch is a fascist and Maxwell was a socialist....makes all the difference doesnt it....d,oh...
Good for him, anything that trims the god awful Rupert Murdochs spreading media tentacles the better.
BUT cable has shot his bolt no one can oppose the neo con murdoch machine and expect to survive
I thought you needed a cable to be able to connect to sky .
the Telegraph must have been divided over this - they actually need someone in government to stop Murdoch's world takeover, since of course they are one of his commercial rivals.
No he should not be sacked, it's about time politicians were able to have a personal opinion instead of following their party line. What should be criticised however is the 'Honey-trap' methods used by some reporters.

Oh yes Labour would love him to resign, anything to break up the coalition so that they can once again have another bite of the cherry.

Incidentally I wonder what Rupert Murdoch would say about being called a 'Fascist' surely that is a suable offence?
Like Wiki leaks, is anyone surprised?

Good on him for having his views and not being afraid to airing them. Noo Labour of course presided over fear and the iron rod tactics over its party. And look where it got them.

What I am not sure about is, whould a Tory have been sacked?
