I've cleared a path on the drive and put down salt. This has worked well for the moment, but of course it's very wet just now, and I don't want it to ice over. At what temperature would it be likely to do this, please? Forecast is for -8C tonight.

A Highways man remarked, this morning, that road-salt doesn't work in temperatures below minus 10...........

Thanks, jtheh. This wasn't proper road salt, so maybe it will be a higher temperature than that. I'd better be careful.
