Good morning Steff... thanks for the clues, but what are they supposed to be linked with - surely not a single word (I won't see the paper for another 8 hours)?

Also should 74a be 5,9,4 as its sub-title seems to be 3,9,4?

If there's no links next week, have a very merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

Adrian
happy christmas and happy new year to all

i believe deecee is still battling his way back from indoor cricket it took me 90 mins (7 miles)
looks like the clues is a better bit of fun
an old four wheeled covered carriage with a seat in the rear covered with a hood

historian and writer of stories and novels with a scientific interest
_______ of clairvaux founder of cistercian order
Cliffyg was not wrong. My games finished at 13.00 aprox, after the blizzard had commenced. In clearing the car, I had to go round twice as the windows were covered instantly. I managed to go one mile of my four mile journey at the impressive speed of 10 mph. Then gridlock!!! I got home at 16.00 having parked the car off road for safetyand then walked a mile and a half. At least it will not get sideswiped this year as happened on my son's birthday last year.
