Hi,
Gave a Roberts Ecologic 4 DAB/FM radio as a birthday present yesterday. Got it set up ok but the minimum volume is far too loud to be able to have a conversation in the same room !
Can't get through to the Roberts technical helpline (no answer), have sent an e-mail to them (and the seller on Amazon) but meantime - has anyone else come across this problem ?
Changed the DRC to ½ but that's made no difference.
Cheers

Put it in a cupboard underneath some thick blankets, until you can return it.
Reducing the dynamic range will make the overall program sound louder (it's what TV stations do when the commercials are on, and why they can get away with hammering our eardrums whilst claiming that they don't increase the volume). But it seems to me that you have a faulty radio, that needs to be returned.
