Don't know that one but Sir Laurence said to Dustin Hoffman when the latter was huffing and puffing to get into character for (I think) Marathon Man,  Hoffman being renowned for method acting,  "Why don't you try acting, my boy?  It's so much easier."

 

Perhaps this question is a variatioon on the theme.
