not sure if this question belongs here but didnt know where else to put it!

i keep seeing people wearing a red ribbon badge... like the breast cancer one but red arther than pink.

what does it represent?

It was World AIDS day on 1 December, there were a lot of red loops for sale that day. I only just found out how many different colours are available for different cancers and conditions, I've never seen some of them being worn http://www.personalizedcause.com/
