it's a post set up to stir bad feeling and is aimed at one user. one of the reasons for reporting is "stupidity" and I would agree.

Thing is, if any one of us regulars had been entrusted/selected/burdened with the role of moderator, so feckin what, it's not a criminal activity for gawd sake, it's good business sense.

2 points i^d like to make, surely if jth is unhappy with this thread she would report it, non of us are obliged to get involved in threads we disagree with , i just ignore them.
