We had a bread machines ages ago and it was rubbish. We are thinking of getting another as the kids love fresh bread - are the new ones any good? We are looking at a Kenwood or Panasonic, does anyone have any views on either of these? Thanks

Last Christmas I bought my mother a Morphy Richards machine and it was great. Which recommended it. My machine is MF as well. i probably wouldn`t bother with Kenwood but Panasonic are good.
I can't comment on either of those makes, but I have Morphy Richards Fastbake which I must have had for 10 years and it's great.

Thanks for that - have they moved on much, the last one we had was about 15 years ago and we never managed to produce anything vaguely edibile.
Amazon's a great place to look for reviews:

Look for the star ratings for each product you're interested in, and then click on the bracketed number (showing how many reviews there are) next to it.

Hello , I bought a Panasonic in the summer. It is excellent. My son-in-law uses a MR which is also very good
we have a Kenwood 350 (from Argos) and have been making bread from scratch with good results. Have now discovered Lauke breadmixes from Lakeland and these give evben better results, the bread keeping new for several days (if we let it). we have used soft white and multtigrain and have even mixed it 50 50

Hi - bought the Panasonic and we are waiting for the first loaf to cook (it's on fast bake or something - it's really the second attempt as we put too little water in the first time but realised something was wrong).
