Firstly... Our Deepest Sympathy goes out to the families of those who were lost in this freak accident... God Bless You.

We are due to go to this hotel in 2 days... We have upgraded to the Platinum Suites and paid £7,000 for myself my partner, mother-in-law and daughter all to visit this 5* Hotel.
Not only are half of the facilities that we have paid for not going to be available, but from a safety perspective we do not want to stay here.

We are going to the travel agent first thing tomorrow morning,
Please can anyone advise us of our rights ASAP with the Travel Agents
Thank You in advance

i suppose it will depend on exactly how much of the facilities you can't use, perhaps the hotel will give a proportional refund depending on what facilities are available. You have said yourself it is a "freak accident" therefore it seems the hotel isn't inherently unsafe, therefore i don't think you cna cancel because you don't feel safe, but look at your travel insurance
