Ihave bought a renault scenic 1.5 diesel without a hand book ''''when I insert the card in the ignition card slot .do I need to place my foot on the brake pedal at the same time as I press the start button to start the engine???? THANK YOU ;;;;;

God forbid if you lose that card ... and try not to let the battery go flat. If you need to replace battery, use a battery saver.
You wouldn't like the cost and hassle in reprogramming or replacing the card.

I have a Renault Scenic too . . . .but I have never inserted the card into the ignition.
As long as you have the card with you, simply place foot on the brake pedal and press the start button.

Also, you do not need to press any buttons on the card when opening and locking the car.
Brake + clutch if it's in gear, brake only if it's not in gear.

How many times have I shouted "IT'S IN MY POCKET'' when the 'where's the card you muppet?' warning light comes on? lol
