We were given a bottle of Champagne for our 20th wedding anniversary 11 years ago. Will this still be okay or will it have lost it's fizz. either way I'm not bothered we don't like champagne.
Youre on annie -post a link so we can PP !!
micmak, it will still be fizzy but it will taste musty. Champagne has a shelf life of about 3 years.,
You can have the champagne if you want it Annie.
237 I guess I better bin it then. On second thoughts did they not bring some up from the depths of the ocean and sell it for thousands of pounds. I think it was over 100 years old and on tasting exquisite.
I don`t know micmak, but I went to a wine tasting in South Africa once, and they told us that the champers has a life of 3 years max.

Sorry guys went to bed!
I think if it is proper vintage champagne, it should last for a lot longer than 3 years - depends if it is good stuff or not!

Having said that I have had to throw about 3 bottles of wine down the sink over the last few months as they have been off. :o( - One of them was a really cheap bottle and the others were not expensive, but shouldn't have been that bad as I had bought them fairly recently.
