Don't know correct title, but the author was a lady. She became an icon of "the proper things to say & do". Thanks for your help.
I did find this ,,,

Ladies' Pocket Book of Etiquitte (1840)
The Etiquette of Courtship and Marriage (1844)
The Etiquette of Courtship and Matrimony (1852)

Unfortunately, all three are by anonymous authors.
