Hello Jayne :-)
One of our promising young players Chris Wood (who appeared for the only unbeaten team at the World Cup) has joined the "imitation" Albion on loan.
I know you go to watch Brighton and Hove, could you keep me up to date on how he's doing so I can report back to the Baggies forum site I'm on?
Said I have a "contact" on the South coast!
Cheers :-)

P.S. Saw the feature on the new ground last night.....Looking good!

Hi, MWBA ...

I think we've only got him until January. I never really understand how this "loan" thing works.

I'll watch out for him. There are a couple more home games this year that I might go to. I'll look for him in the programme.

The new stadium is looking fab. This is going to sound horrid, but I'm having mixed feelings about it. Where we play at the moment is really rubbish, but we sort of love it there. We have a nice pub at the ground, and we know where we like to sit, and we have to share a stand with the Away fans, and everything ... but it just feels like home.

If we get promoted, and move into a new stadium, then it will all get a bit serious. I like us just the way we are. I know that sounds bad, but ... well, I'm not a huge football fan. I just like our little club.

Well, anyway, I will of course keep a look out for Chris Wood. I might have a word in the Seagulls Supporters Shop, and see what I can find out.
Golly, I've just worked looked that up ...

The only unbeaten team at the World Cup was New Zealand, right ??
Sorry, I was going to say "worked it out" ...

But changed it to "looked it up" because all I had to do was Google it ...

... so not much "working out" involved, really.

That's right Jayne..Good old New Zealand!
How far is the new ground from the Withdean then?
The way West Brom are going we could be playing Brighton next season..probably be a freezing Tuesday night in January knowing our luck though :-S

Hope Woody does well,he scored yesterday!
The new ground is a bit further out of town. I suppose it's 3 or 4 miles from the old ground.

In theory, it will be more accessible. It's not in the middle of a built up area, unlike Withdean.

With our tickets at the moment, if you have a match ticket, you can use it to get a free bus ride from the town centre, out to Withdean, and then back again after the match. I suppose they'll do the same sort of thing when we move.
