Not sure if its him, been buging me for years, but it may seem likely, may have got the Lady Diana thing years mixed up, Just remember the newsreader as i grew up and was sad when he had died, they showed a picture of him on the news, he was in a tuxedo, grey hair and big blacked rimmed glasses, "like Ronnie Barker"

Any help?

Thanks
my guess is that you are thinking about robert dougall cider....he didnt die until the late 90s tho...
Wasn't it Gordon Honeycombe who died about that time? He was very popular and sadly missed.
Richard Whitmore?

Scrap Richard Whitmore .... he's not dead.
If Gordon Honeycombe is dead, someone ought to let his website know about it ;-)
