I wonder if you nice people can help a dumb girl with DECT phones in the house. I've got a set of three of the same make and model number DECT phones with one phone in each room. One of the phones has developed a fault - I have to push really hard on the big button in the middle to get a dialling tone. The other two phones work fine.

I've thought about buying a new single DECT phone to replace the faulty one. What I'd like to know is could any make or model replacement phone work with the other two existing phones? For example, would the paging facility, call transfer etc work if the new phone was made by a different manufacturer?

Sorry for being so dumb but I have got blond hair!

The basic features will work (making and receiving calls), any advanced features your phones may have (such as the call transfers) might not work.
