She deliberately killed her autistic son (murder) by forcing him to drink bleach, and has wriggled out of a murder charge by claiming insanity(diminished responsibility). Charge reduced to manslaughter (Slapped wrist?).

Let's just bring back capital punishment, and save hard pressed taxpayers the swingeing costs of trials. I'm all for it. Particularly in this "time of austerity". Aren't you?

I normally advocate capital punishment for murder but this is one of the exceptions. Something went wrong somewhere and I am not sure it was actually long term pre medicated.

so on the fact given the answer is No, she should not hang.
eye...if the death sentence was ever brought back to this country-I doubt very much that anyone holding the opinions you have would get through the jury selection process. You are seeing things in one way only-and your viewpoint could never be described as objective-a necessity to be a good juror.

eyethankyew is terminally confused:

<<bring back capital punishment, and save hard pressed taxpayers the swingeing costs of trials>>

He seems to imagine that CP means there is no need for trials (or jurors).

No. I don't understand why that would be so either! LOL
.
Maybe eye did not proofread his post....than must be the explanation for such an oversight.....
