Not sure if I'm in the right place but here goes. Last night in the pub (don't these things always start in pub) somebody mentioned that their wrist watch was waterproof to " 3 atmospheres " but nobody knew what depth this actually was. Does anybody know?

Most proper diving watches have at least a resistance of 330ft (10atm)

Interesting though Rolex built a special that still worked at a depth of 35,000ft
That should be interestingly...and not that anybody could use it at that depth. Nice to know it would still work if you dropped it over the side of a boat though.
"why would you actually need a watch that will work deep under the sea?"
So you know what time you drowned :-)
