upgrading on vodafone

Does anyone know when you can upgrade on a 2 year contract with vodafone?
I don't know whether you have to go the full two years or can get a new phone before that? thanks in advance

I'm a Vodaphone user on a 24 month contract and can tell you that you can upgrade when you have 70 days or less to run on your current contract.Just upgraded mine, although the official date was January 2011.
