I'm in West Yorkshire and we keep losing reception. I thought it was because of work being done on the transmitter.
I think it's probably both.........are you on Emley Moor transmitter mic?
It's quite possibly due to the high winds knocking your aerial about a bit. Other possible cause are high pressure, solar flares or local electrical interference (such as your freezer's thermostat switching on or off, or your neighbour turning a light on or off). You need a better aerial or (at the very least) a signal amplifier.

Yes craft Emlet Moor.
Emley. I can spell but my typing leaves a lot to be desired.
Any current transmitter engineering work will show up if you enter the relevant details here:

we lose it a lot on anglesey they say its the strong winds
Thanks Chris, I will follow the link.
Well I've had terrible digital problems due to the Emley Moor work.......some people have apparently being losing all transmission for short periods of time.
I'm in west wales and the wind is a real b*tch tonight; still got brilliant reception though (fingers crossed).
The only time we suffered bad digital reception was when they were piddling about with it just prior to the change over.
I followed the link Chris gave and it said weak signal from Emley Moor.
