From a very wet Wiltshire. I think we are in for a bit of a battering today. [Overnight rain clearing to the east, followed by sunshine and blustery showers for many. More persistent rain later in Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England. Gales in many places becoming locally severe later.]
Tonight: Widespread gales and stormy conditions in parts of northwest England. Occasional rain or showers in northern and western areas. Above normal temperatures.
