Is it simply exposure ?  I mean, if the music of the 50s or even 30s were given sufficient exposure would it become popular again ?  Or is it  all down to ' here today and gone tommorow' groups who make loads of money for all involved out of fickle young people ?

Also, in my opinion music has not evolved in the sense of getting better - as most other things will, ie cars, communications, travel etc. Or is it that I am just getting old ?

The marketing machine of the big record companies has a lot to answer for. Pretty boys, pretty girls sell records. Talent is secondary only to their marketability.

What's wrong with this connection ?!  To continue:

.....Haggisdj's answer.  i'm just trying to raise the level of debate from the usual Who Sung What questions. Personally. I'm a melody and rhythm person - and I can't wait for their return.  Thanks.
