Body work bolted to chassis

After watching American Hotrod on TV I noticed that the majority of American car bodies were bolted to the chassis as was the VW Beetle. Were any English cars manufactured in this way.

Yes, pretty much all of them before about the 1950s
My first car, a 1957 Ford Popular, had a separate chassis.
Reliant used chassis for their range including the Scimitar and the Robins.
Landrovers, too, have a chassis.
