Is this an Ad for Coca Cola ?
Coke's good for using in the crock pot with a ham too.
That recipe would make a lot of barbecue sauce.
a litre and a quarter? I don't see how the honey will stand a chance against that, and you may have to dive in with a snorkel to find the meat. Let us know how it turns out.
good tooth whitener
I've heard of adding Coca Cola to BBQ sauces before. The honey will help the sauce 'stick' to the meat. Wave goodbye to your tooth enamel...

hi redman41,firstly any coke will do, i bought a cheapo one from aldi.
I beleive you have to put the coke& tomato puree in a large pot, and reduce for about an hour, it then should become concentrated. we´ll see.
just googled it, they say to add 1/2 chopped onion and black pepper

The sauce was very nice, but i think this should´ve been cooked in the oven. Using a big pot on the stove wasn´t a good idea, the sauce didn´t really stick to the ribs.
So i now have about a litre of barbeque sauce, what to do with it? any ideas?
Have a BBQ?

thats what i normally do when i want my haircut, join a bbq

sorry chuck
Nigella does a gammon cooked in coca cola. Its very nice, originally a deep south USA recipe. It gives a lovely, sweet spicy taste. Simply sime a gammon joint in 2L of full fat cola for about 2.5 hours.

I think Nigella studs hers with cloves and smears on honey to finish in oven. Not necessary though
