I Am resding his biography at the moment and a great deal of it, quite rightly, deals with his mother Sheree Winton (Shirley Winton) who was a British actress in the late 50's and 60's.

He mentions at length that she was in a Beatles film 'A Hard Days Night' and recalls not only meeting the FAb Four but Wilfred Bramble as well. On checking IMDB for both her filmography and 'A Hard Days Night' cast. However it does not mention her as being in the cast at all - not even in the uncredited roles.

I thought IMDB Was the film bibke but has anyone else found errors - or is Dale wrong?? - which I cannot believe

^^ I am READING
IMDb is a wonderful resource but it is only as good as its contributors. Over the past decade or so I have corrected, inserted and/or deleted dozens of entries.
It says here that she was an extra in the film - therefore one of many, so presumably wouldn't have been listed in the credits http://www.thefreelib...market...-a0159157016
enjoy your book. also read tony curtis biography and roger moores. you will enjoy both
Extras or Background Artists as they are sometimes called now, don't always appear on paperwork for a film, so they are difficult to verify. I was an extra in a Channel 4 drama in the 1990s, but it doesn't appear on my IMDB page as I doubt I was ever listed anywhere (I was helping a friend who was the set designer that day and he roped me in to be an extra once the sets were complete).
As for onlookers in crowd scenes...
puternut, do you know why she committed suicide ? I googled her, how sad.
...it was after Dale came out...she wanted him to be the next James Bond...Daniel Craig got there first.

Yes smurfchops I did as I feel Dale described it very well in his book. Accurate, with feeling and totally honestly

It seems to be a real sign of the times where 'famous' people seem to be unable to handle their fame. She was just so insecure

And Authentic I feel that remark was a little too light!!
