I just gave the answer on the previous page.

8 over 3 is 2 and 2 thirds. Take that away to give one third. 8 over a third is 24.
I'll have a go at the numbers game and have very rarely managed to get it right or within a few numbers and am always very proud of myself when I do!

You've divided 1/3 into 24. I think the question is too vague because if I see the brackets symbol I assume multiplication. ie 8(3)=24.
Only as a fraction which was allowed.
But yes you can in fact use multiply and divide. Just put it like yo udid for multiply and put it as a fraction for divide.
