Hi, not sure if anyone knows, but why has an email been send to various people in my address book containing a virus which i didnt send?? Please help cos im getting the blame for sending it. Thanks.

Change the password for the account it's being sent from.
Do you use any instant messaging software to talk to your friends?
If so, you may have been tricked into filling something out like this:

As Chuck says, change your password and all should be ok.
Because this is how some virus' spread.

if your friends opened the attachment they may be infected too and will start sending emails to all the people in their address books.

You need to get a good quality anti-virus product on your computer, clean it and keep it up to date.

I hope you don't use it for e banking or buying things as you mak have other infections too that do things like steal credit card numbers
OK - I'm assuming that it's malware and not that your e-mail account has been compromised.

In either case the advise on having good AV stands

jake i do use the net to purchase items but i do have a virus checker avast antivirus checker. x
On Monday I got a load of texts and calls about an email I was supposed to have sent about viagra. Hotmail were not helpful, so I reported the hacking to the police, just in case they decided to send something evil.
You reported it to the police?!?! You're kidding me right?
