Can anyone advise me how to get a phone number for someone in the USA? Everytime I google it, I get plenty of options, white pages etc but you have to pay for the privilege! Surely there is some way of getting an individuals phone number without having to pay??? Thanks in advance!

I'm confused.

The official White Pages website doesn't charge for phone listings:
http://www.whitepages.com/
Enter the initial details into the first search page, then click on the relevant person (from the results page) to see the address, phone number and list of household residents.

Thanks Buenchico, I looked at that and it does indeed bring an address up but no phone number! aaarrrgghh
Many of us over here choose to have our numbers unlisted, so they would not show up in the White Pages.
If that happens it must be because the number is ex-directory. Well over half of all UK residential numbers are now ex-directory and it's likely that the majority of US numbers are also now 'non-listed'.

You coud dial the international code for the U.S and then dial 1- (area code)- 555-1212... You'd need to know the area code first, but you could put U.S. Area Codes in Google and would give you a map and the numbers...
C: But wouldn't that just get you to directory information, which does not give out unlisted numbers?

How's the weather out West? Gorgeous upper 60s here in St Louis.
That's certainly true dr. b... but I was working on the principal that maybe the phone number wasn't unlisted, just unknown... We've had an unforgettable fall...still haven't had frost yet, which is really unusual. 60 to 65 degrees each day, not much wind. Just enough rain. Extended ten day forecast says more of the same...
huh, if you guys want any more rain, just whistle, I think I can spare a llittle.
Always the philanthropist, jno? Just enough is the operative word here... but thanks!
