I don't think they have one, since they were set up as a secular state (older countries with a religious tradition had them)

St Joseph is the patron saint of the New World, I believe

Trivia question:
Which King of Great Britain included the four patron saints of the British Isles amongst his names?
I suppose it was Edward VIII?
Spot on, jno.
much good it did him - perhaps they should have included Boniface, patron saint of Germany.
I believe it is the Virgin Mary as stated above :o)
Sometimes I think it should be St Jude - he looks after lost causes!
<---USA girl We're not a lost cause - the politicians are. We love ALL things Britain, quite seriously...the thing we love the most are the people (not just the famous ones!) Not everyone here would have a patron saint because not everyone is of the same religion. For instance, I can say "I don't have a patron saint and the thought of the Catholic Church saying that the USA does have one makes me angry because I'm not a Christian." Also, none of founding fathers would have ever included anything religious in "the official rule book"; so to speak.
