DVD problem

My husband bought 'Airliner Pilot'an extension for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. It plays on my friend's DVD and my daughter's laptop but not on our PC. They are all running XP. I have updated the driver,graphics card driver and checked the cables.  I can play film DVD's O.K.  The computer is approximately 5 years old.  Can you please help?

Yes, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 is loaded but it opened on my friend's P.C., who didn't have Microsoft F.S loaded.

you have prob tried this , but can you go into my computer and right click and explore the drive the disc is in.then you can double click on set up to get things going unless your drive dosen't see the disc at all.

The DVD runs but cannot open to explore, the only way to eject the disc is by opening the tray.
