Brief history, had around 400 photos on my camera, going on hol soon and wanted to clear the camera memory. Put them on pc, going to put them on disc when we get one tomorrow, but me being paranoid about losing them, hubby said he would send them to his google thingy as well.
Upshot is, the e-mail is too big, it won't send because it times out, & can't delete it from outbox, how do we get rid of it?!

You've not stated how your hubby has tried to send the email. Is it with Outlook, Outlook Express or Windows Mail (or something else)?

If it's with Outlook Express, simply search for the file Outbox.dbx and delete it from your computer. Restart your computer and Outlook Express will automatically create a brand new (empty) Outbox.

If it's with Outlook, do the same with the file Outbox.pst

For other email clients, please post again, telling us what you're using.

We're using windows mail. We have tried going to the outbox and simply deleting the Email, but cannot perform this action because as soon as I go to 'outbox' , Windows Mail stops responding.

Would it be worth trying what you suggested with Outlook Express (restarting the computer)?

Panic over! In the time it took for me to reply, my lad had a look and windows mail had defrosted!
Thanks anyway Chris for your help!
