How to upgrade for FREE from Windows 7 Starter to Windows home premium ....

Does anyone please know how I can upgrade from Windows 7 Stater to Windows home premium on my new netbook I was dissapointed to find it came with the operating system Windows 7 Starter as it has so many limitations.

If it is anything like Vista then you will have to pay for the upgrade. My PC came with Vista Basic a few years ago and I paid around £60 to upgrade to Home Premium.

Oh no thats not good so annoyed I paid for a computer with onlpy starter on it yet if I had bought one with windows xp I would of got an upgrade to windows home premium for free from the retailer yet they didnt tell me that .....

If you can tell us what it is that you need, but haven't currently got, we might be able to suggest some free third-party software which will do the job as well (or better) than the missing Microsoft components.

That is to upgrade from Vista etc.

They do a special Starter to Home Premium upgrade and Amazon have it for les than £60

I'd be interested to know what Mary feels is missing from starter that would actually run properly or be relevant on a netbook.
Starter is just perfect for a netbook. It does everything you need to do, leaves out the resources hogging extras. Keeps it lean, exactly what is needed.
