i started to potty train my 23 month old the other day. she was getting to the stage where she was pulling her trousers down and saying pee. so thought nows my chance to start

only problem is, she's never been one for sitting down for any length of time. we have stickers all over her potty and i put some on her legs to get her to try and stay still. i also have a few toys and her toy house and the people in teh house also sit on the potty!! we do lots of things to get her to sit. i also try and get her listen out for the noise and say psss

she has a huge build up to doing a pee but once she's done it we do the high 5s, clap, flush it down the toilet and say by. then wash hands which she loves.

i'm just finding that in her build up to peeing its like she is scared or like shes doing something wrong and that along with her not liking to sit sometimes causes problems. she's now constantly telling me she needs a pee but getting her to sit is a pest. then she feels the pee (which seems to be a new sensation to her as she's never bothered about it before). i just feel if she could sit and we could have a few days of her peeing on the potty shed' get over this

she was doing really well but unfortinately i had the hospital and then was working so i was out the house for a couple of days which also didn't help

can anyone help???

Try rewarding her with stickers of a biscuit afterwards so she knows she's doing the right thing :) hope this helps.
