It was really lovely last Wednesday when we went Red. The tide was right out and it was really warm and still quite sunny at 7.00pm. Spent an hour throwing stones into the sea for the dog to retrieve! Had a huge expanse of beach to ourselves, under the cliffs. I wouldn't mind living in Sheringham. Just have to convince Mr LL!

4get. It would only take you about 40 minutes to get to Holkham!
i used to be able to get to Hunstanton in 25 mins.
Question Author
Takes me 1/2hr to get to Sheringham. I used to work in Wells and that would take about 20 minutes.
Question Author
Are you nowhere near a beach in Suffolk Red?
I know, wells is probably nearest, I just dont go. My fear of dogs doesnt help any walks I want along the beach and me and my bloke have never been to seaside together
Question Author
We don't go as often as I would like - Tend to go in the winter to Holkham. The beach in Wells is dog free in the summer (No dogs allowed). I can't believe you have never been to the beach with Mr 4get, considering you live so near!! No seaside holidays?
i like wells. i used to catch crabs there all the time.

Hmmmmm ;o)

As I said, I used to work there but by the time I finished work all I wanted to do was to go home, so never even got to see the sea except in the distance. Nice little town, but very, very insular. I wouldn't want to live there.
Not his type of day out :-)
i used to run through the pinewoods throwing pine cone grenades at the dog walkers and then hide behind trees. funny how they used to huff and puff at the trees.
should have used protection ankou
Question Author
Did you ever come across the Queens beach hut in those woods Ankou? Very well hidden!
would take at least an hour to get to the nearest beach to me, where i am now.
i did actually loftie, mainly when we cycled down past holkham along the nature walk.
often used to stop off at the little cottage on the way too, as the old lady used to offer us orange squash through her window.
