I think his wasted post-Listen Without Prejudice ....
oscarina - I saw him twice, once at Wembly Arena, and once at Plymouth. He was fantastic. What a voice. It doesn`t matter what an idiot he`s been lately, nobody can take away the fact that he can sing. It`s just a shame he can`t quietly indulge in substances at home without the need to get in his car.
ha ha I like your name MrMister.
sadly talent often doesn't come with a side order of commonsense.
woof - but so what? If talent doesn`t come with a side order of common sense does it really matter to the person who is appreciating their talent? Isn`t that the point of art (if one wants to call modern music art) that it can be enjoyed for what it is?
Because like George Best, Phil Lynnott, Keith Moon, Freddie Mercury, its sad to see someone with real talent urinate it away against the wall.......
Sadly, the alrgesse that comes with talent's rewards can lead an artistic temprement to bad behaviour, simply because no-one ever seems to say 'No' - the ultimate example being Michael Jackson.

I have debated a few times the dichotomy of talent as an artist against behaviour and personality as an individual, and here is a further example.

I would guess that George would be given custody in a minimum security, or even open prison, in keeping with the legal approach to his offences - and hopefully would be able to tolerate it for the allotted time.

Even more hopefully, the concept of incarceration works in the intended manner, and prevents him from offending again - for the good of everyone.
Ooooogawd! - Don't tell Heather.

jem
throw the book at him - sorry but drugs and driving no better than drinking and driving
