what's a 'sticky'

I hesitate to ask the question being a person of extreme gentility and refinement but have seen the term on AB and don't know what it means.

It's when the Ed sticks a question to the top of the page.

Stickys are when some idiot either spits or leaves gum on a train or bus seat and you sit in it...or so was my naive understanding.

That isn't pink! On my screen it is sort of light peachy/magnolia/buff!!

And stickies are a primrosy yellow with no hint of pink!

What colours do you see as predominant on this site 4get.

I have a sort of dark chestnutty red and a dull orange.

burgundy on welcome back bit and bright orange on main bit

Oh. Mines, definitely more chestnuty dark red than burgandy and the orange is dullish.

It sounds as if you have more 'pinkish' hues going on there.

I'm assuming 4getmenot meant 'pink' as in the colour of my answer. I've had problems with the layout of my AB page (Ed knows and has corresponded with me over it and I'm just stuck with it) which is proably why I've never seen a sticky.
