It looks as I imagine it did in the Middle Ages, nothing has changed there and very little appears to have been done to bring it up to standard, running sewers in the streets. and poor people scraping the soil for their food. All the aid hasn't brought them sanitation or proper food or facilities/systems to grow food. All they do is tote guns and cause trouble, then hope someone will sort out their problems for them.
Thats right, that's all they do :S There has to be some political motivation there, helps to influence surely? It's also part of the Geneva conventions, you know those awful treaties that try to prevent genocides and help those in dire circumstances.
It looks good on the world stage for the British to be seen as a compassionate nation in a position to financially assist the less fortunate. I think that's where any political motivation ends. We'll never gain respect or trust from these people, most of them wish we were dead.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Posted on the same subject earlier, 'Why Britain all the time' received only one answer, I wonder why?

How much of the £64 million (in the form of food, clothing, medical help etc) will actually reach the people who need it most in Pakistan?
