I wouldn't think so, it has signals the same as a phone or radio, which would/could interfere with the plane's systems.
No, because you're usually nowhere close to a transmitter and, even if you were, the signals couldn't penetrate inside the big metal tube you're sitting in.

However you can use portable DVD players except during take-off and landing.
Can you still get hold of hand held TV's these days?
Why would you want to anyway? if its a long journey most planes have TV's in the back of the seat in front of you that you can choose a film to watch on.

Not on easyjet you dont jemma, and yes you can get good priced ones on ebay. x
Do Easyjet do long haul flights?
You can take one of those DVD players & use your own DVD's.

You could do worse and be flying 'Ryanair' "Talk about a flying bucket"
