I buy the ice cube bag's from tecso, you know the blue one's that you fill up then turn upside down, well after the ice is formed and i've put them in my drink, they leave small white bit's floating around in my glass! Does anyone know what the devil it is?

Probably limescale.  My guess is that you live in a hard-water area where the local rock is largely chalk or limestone.  You probably see a white furry deposit in your kettle as well.  Freezing the water causes the solubility to fall and the lime comes out of solution so you see it more clearly.  It is harmless to drink.

I would agree with gen2. If you have a brita water filter (other products are available!), then try filling the cubes with filtered water.
Or,do what I do and buy bags of already made ones......ice cubes that is!
you can buy reusable ice cubes too, although when I put it in my mums drink she tried to peel them!
