All of the coins are valid... none worth more than face value, however... Welcom, by the way!
Welcome, even...
In law all coins minted by the US Treasury remain legal tender at their face value unless mutilated or unrecognisable, however early coins may acquire greater value to dealers/collectors due to their precious metal content and/or rarity.

thanks guys.  i know it isnt a lot, but every penny counts.  or every cent even :)
At the moment these coins, though valid, are worth pretty much nothing, with the exchange rate as it is. I guess about 30 pence worth or so.

Immortal, have you still not been on this trip, you've been soooo excited about this for months now!?
Well, not all that worthless... you could buy a daily U.S. Today and have 16 cents left over, you can buy a fairly large candy bar for 50 cents, a medium size bag of peanuts, make a local phone call (if you can find a pay phone)... or you could leave a 66 cent tip to let the waiter know how you really felt about the service (just don't go back there again, however)...
